The world of AURORIA was tailor-made to capture the attention of pediatric patients and appeal to their imagination.
This virtual reality video game, specially designed for pediatrics, places the patient at the heart of the experience. They embody a hero whose mission is to rescue their friends from the clutches of the terrible KnightMare.
A positive game to empower pediatric patients
To ensure that the immersion experience is as positive as possible for young patients, the AURORIA universe is designed so that children and teenagers succeed in their missions every time. Regardless of the level or mini-game the patient plays, they will win and be rewarded.
Our therapeutic game is also adapted to the very specific pediatric population of severe burn victims. The graphics and elements in the game immerse pediatric patients in a reassuring world: no fire or heat sources, but instead cold elements (water, ice, etc.), cool colors, and characters related to this universe (penguins, water droplets, etc.).
Endearing characters to reassure patients
Throughout the game, the patient will encounter endearing characters who are kind to him. Except, of course, for the evil monster he must fight.
To complete his mission, he will take his place in the StarWind, a magnificent ship in which he will play alongside Miko, the pilot. The StarWind is built for adventure and embodies escape and freedom for patients who play the game and travel the world of AURORIA.
Miko, energetic pilot and loyal companion
Always by the player’s side, Miko is the young driver from AURORIA and the ideal companion for the patient-player. With his boundless energy, unfailing positivity, and sense of humor, he guides them through challenges and keeps their spirits high. Miko is the first to encourage the patient-player during difficult moments, making each stage of the adventure more accessible and reassuring.
Flocolonel, the determined leader who embodies integrity and courage.
An authority figure at AURORIA, Flocolonel embodies the strict but fair mentor. Beneath his tough old soldier exterior lies a big heart and unwavering loyalty. His strategic advice and wisdom help overcome the most complex moments, while instilling a sense of security in the patient-player.
Knightmare, the cold and charismatic pirate
Fearsome and fascinating, Knightmare is AURORIA’s arch-nemesis. An elegant pirate with a thirst for power, he commands his Karakas army with relentless precision. His quest to dominate AURORIA’s resources is a constant challenge, making him a memorable adversary and a figure who pushes patient players to surpass themselves.
Franky, the dark and protective hero
Franky is the reassuring heroic figure of AURORIA. Dark and discreet, but always reliable, he acts as a pillar of support for the player. His presence inspires confidence and determination, offering a perfect balance between discretion and strength in the most tense situations.
Smoothie, the brilliant and exuberant engineer
Smoothie is a whirlwind of energy and ideas. With her outgoing and colorful personality, she provides players with ingenious gadgets and valuable clues to help them progress through the adventure. Her infectious enthusiasm makes her an essential ally, bringing lightheartedness and creativity to stressful moments.
